Apple Watch Series 4 Apple Watch Series 4 resets the standard for what a watch can be. It's the largest Apple Watch display yet coming in at 44mm. The new electrical heart sensor, and Re-engineered Digital Crown with haptic feedback make this an entirely new but yet entirely familiar device to own. Proactive Health Monitor Part guardian, part guru. ECG on your wrist. Low and high heart rate notifications. Fall detection and Emergency SOS. New Breathe watch faces are now available with Watch OS 5. It’s designed to improve your health every day and powerful enough to help protect it. Two sensors. A pair of eyes on your heart. The optical heart sensor has been part of Apple Watch from the beginning, allowing you to quickly check your heart rate. Thanks to a new electrical heart sensor (made up of an electrode in the Digital Crown and electrodes on the back crystal), you can use the ECG app to generate an ECG, or electrocardiogram, at any time to share with your doctor. *Images courtesy of apple.com*
CyberTazz posted a topic in iPhoneWant to take a screenshot on iPhone X, XS, iPhone XS Max or even iPhone XR? Here’s how to do it the right way. If you’re lucky enough to be picking up a shiny new iPhone X or XS or iPhone XS Max then you’re probably coming to terms with the idea of losing that Home button. Yes, the iPhone X was the first to ditch the button but given most people stick to a two-year upgrade plan, it’s likely iPhone X, XS and iPhone XS Max buyers are moving from an iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus, in which case the Home button’s omission is all new. Don’t worry, it really is great and you’ll soon get used to it. But there’s probably one thing you’re struggling with – screenshots. So, just how do you take a screenshot on an iPhone X, XS or iPhone XS Max? Or maybe even the iPhone XR when it comes out? We’re glad you asked, let’s run through it. Step 1: It’s super simple, really. To take a screenshot, press and hold the Side button and the Volume Up button at the same time. Simple. Step 2: You’ll now be shown a preview of your screenshot. Tap it to make it larger. You can now markup or resize the screenshot with ease. Again, simple. Step 3: Even better, you can share the whole thing from right within the preview by tapping the Share button. Do that, and you can share the screenshot however you like without ever opening another app. There are times where this might be an issue though. If, say, you want to be able to take a screenshot singlehandedly. Assistive Touch to the rescue! Step 1: Open the Settings app & head over to General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch & turn it on. You’ll now see the on-screen button. Step 2: Tap Customize Top Level Menu followed by selecting the Custom icon and finally selecting Screenshot from the list. Step 3: Now, to take a screenshot you can tap the Assistive Touch button, followed by the Screenshot button. That’s as simple as it gets really!
CyberTazz posted a topic in iPhoneIt sounds entirely bizarre but the idea of turning something off & back on again to solve a problem, or simply performing a reset, definitely still applies. And this is definitely the case where iPhone is concerned. In regards to iPhone X / XS / XS Max & XR, a hard reset (or force restart as it’s sometimes called) is slightly different to other devices and we are going to show you exactly how to do that. Without further ado, let’s jump right in and take a look at the simple steps that you need to do to hard reset Apple’s new hardware. And, then, we can touch briefly on why this might be the case or why it might be needed. Step 1: The first step here is press and release the Volume Up button. Make sure this is done quickly. Step 2: Now, press and release the Volume Down button. Once again, make sure that this is done quickly. Step 3: Now, with the above two steps out of the way, press and hold the Side button on the iPhone X • XS • XS Max or XR. When the Slide to Power Off interface appears, simply ignore it and keep pressing the Side button until the glorious Apple logo appears. You are then safe to release the Side button and allow the process to continue with your assistance. So, you now have the process mastered, but what about the why? Like most tech-based hardware, Apple’s new iPhones will definitely be prone to issues or the odd screen freeze here and there. In the event that, it becomes necessary to perform a quick and simple hard reset on the device in order to see if that alleviates the problem. If so, then you know it isn’t a huge issue and that a reset can, and will continue to, solve the problem. If the hard reset doesn’t resolve the problem, then you know there are bigger issues afoot and that a different approach needs to be taken. This process could be slightly confusing to experienced iPhone owners as previous models have actually had a different – perhaps more simplified process – in place to perform a hard reset. However, once you nail the process, it will be easy going forward.
